Obituary: Mary Tull

Mary Tull, at 104

Mary [Mowad] Tull, widow of former Hull resident George M. Tull, died June 23, at her home in Quincy. She was 104.

Mrs. Tull was born in Port Barre, Louisiana on Dec. 2, 1911. She had a hand in raising four generations of her family. She strongly believed every child should be given every opportunity to thrive and that every animal should be nurtured and cared for. She was passionate about many causes and supported a great many charities. They, along with her family, will miss her generosity.

She leaves three children: Patricia M. Crosthwait, George Michael “Skip” Tull, and former Hull police officer Steve Tull; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.  

Services are private. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the South Shore YMCA annual support campaign, where she was on the board of directors for more than 30 years, the Quincy Animal Shelter, or any other charity of your choice.
