Obituary: Jeffrey Q. Ast

Jeffrey Q. Ast, at 25
Jeffrey Q. Ast, of Hull, died June 1.  He was 25.
He grew up in Hingham, where he attended Plymouth River, middle, and high school. Mr. Ast was also a student at Fryeburg Academy. He recently moved to Hull. 
Mr. Ast loved hockey; it was his passion in life. He played for Hingham Youth, NEH, NECDL, Hingham Harbormen and Fryeburg Academy. He was a huge Bruins fan and loved all sports. He enjoyed biking and being outdoors. 
Mr. Ast will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, and caregiving personality. He was an incredibly creative and thoughtful woodworker, and he loved his family and his dog Henry more than anything in the world. He will never be forgotten. 
He was the beloved son of Gary Ast and Joan Quenneville, of Hingham and Hull; loving brother of Julianne Strathman and her husband, Evan, of Lafayette, Calif.; dear grandson of Anne and Ray Quenneville of Suffield, Conn., and the late Richard and Pauline Ast; nephew of Gene and Steve LaBrie of Leicester, John Quenneville of Suffield, Conn., and the late Patsy Wilhoite Bocz; cousin of Evan and Rachel LaBrie of Leicester and Toni Bocz.
