Gamblers Anonymous. Do you think you have a problem with compulsive gambling, or want to learn more about how to stop gambling? Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other to help solve this common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop gambling. There are no dues or fees for Gamblers Anonymous membership, and the group is not allied with any religion or political organization. Hull FireFly Storytelling at 2nd Parish UU Church on Main Street in Hingham from 6-9 p.m., $5 donation at the door. Hull FireFly is celebrating 10 years of live story telling! A spinoff of The Moth Story Hour on National Public Radio, true stories are shared to a live audience and must be told within a three-to-five-minute period. Questions and comments about each story are held until after all the stories have been shared, sort of like a live theatre “talk back with the actors", where audience members are able to ask questions that emerge from the story telling. The theme is “If Walls Could Talk.”

Town of Hull’s Spring Chip Day is held at the DPW Barn, 9 Nantasket Ave., across from Dylan's Pizza. Residents may bring in tree limbs, that are 8 inches in diameter or smaller. No leaves, grass, garden cleanouts, shrub trimmings, vines, or other yard waste will be accepted. We reserve the right to turn away any loads we deem not chippable. Vehicles larger than a standard pick-up truck will NOT be allowed. Landscapers and contractors are limited to one truckload. Proof of Hull residency is required. Qigong on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Sandy O’Hara leads a class with roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts. Balance and Conditioning. The senior center is offering balance and conditioning classes. Each session consists of strength and conditioning exercises, stretches, and various balance drills designed to increase balance, strength, and flexibility. The stretching and strengthening exercises are focused on key muscles and joints to improve range of motion, strength, stability, awareness, and reaction time to prevent falls from poor balance. Chair Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Yoga can be practiced by everyone. It is an ideal activity for those with balance issues or looking to start a yoga practice slowly. It not only has the benefits of regular yoga, such as helping with stress, pain, and fatigue, but it can also help with joint lubrication, balance, and even age-specific issues like menopause and arthritis. Zumba Gold Tuesdays at 8:45 a.m. Using light weight-toning Moroccan sticks, Justine Hobin leads classes in rhythm-based movement that tones arms, core, and lower back. Bereavement Support Group. This free online support group begins on Tuesday, July 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be ongoing. It is open to anyone who has experienced the death of someone they love. Registration is required. This support group will be held virtually via Zoom.
