/By Carol Britton Meyer
The Community Preservation Committee recently reviewed 13 grant applications requesting more than $1.54 million from the town’s Community Preservation Act fund and will work toward making recommendations for consideration at the 2027 annual town meeting as the process continues.
Of those proposals, two relate to the Hull Lifesaving Museum and three to Fort Revere.
The proposed projects range from Weir River Estuary Center landscaping ($20,000) in partnership with the Hull Community Garden and lights at the Dustbowl (Sullivan) Field ($100,000) to restoration of the Paragon Carousel Clocktower building ($300,000) and continuing Hull Lifesaving Museum Boat House restoration ($75,000).
