David J. Collins, at 75

David J. Collins, formerly of Hull, died Nov. 7. He was 75.
Mr. Collins was born and raised in Dorchester and moved to Quincy, where he raised his family. He was the owner and operator of Royal Print, located in Dorchester, for more than 50 years. Active in his community, Mr. Collins was a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club, past president of the Board of Trade in Dorchester, and a member of the Hull Lions Club, as well as a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He also served as an usher at St. Ann’s Church in Wollaston. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a cherished grandfather, who will be sadly missed.
The beloved husband of Paula [Gacioch] Collins of Sarasota, FL; loving father of Christine Clark and her husband, Joseph, of Marshfield, and David J. Collins, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Quincy; stepfather of Tommaso Silvestri, Jr. of New York and Maria Silvestri of Arizona. Mr. Collins also leaves his siblings: Patricia Ullberg of Maryland, Robert Collins of Medfield, Susan O’Day of Hyde Park, and Leo Collins of Pennsylvania; and also is survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:45 a.m., prior to the funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy, at 10:30. Cremation will follow.
