Obituary: Richard “Dickie” F. Nielsen

Hull resident Richard “Dickie” F. Nielsen died March 2, at age 82.

Mr. Nielsen graduated from Watertown High School and later earned a certificate as an electrical technician. He worked for Raytheon in Quincy for more than 45 years. 
Mr. Nielsen was a Navy veteran who served during the Korean War in an aircraft carrier. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and the University of Connecticut girls basketball team. He loved dogs and spent time training police dogs. 
Beloved husband of the late Dolores [Boudreau] Nielsen; loving father of Michelle “Mish” Nielsen and Bernard “Bernie” Nielsen, both of Hull; cherished grandfather of Dakota Ruscansky; devoted brother of Mary, Eleanor, and the late Theodore "Fluffy", Bernard, Theresa, and Edward; caring brother-in-law of Rita Nielsen; also survived by many nieces and nephews. 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Hull on Friday, March 11 at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery at Bourne at 2:30 p.m.
