Obituary: Ita B. Leonard

Ita B. Leonard, at 89
Ita B. (Power) Leonard, of Hull, died at home Nov. 25, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89. 
Mrs. Leonard was born and raised in St. Kevin’s Parish in Dorchester. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and would celebrate St. Patrick’s Day annually at her home, affectionately known as the “Irish Riviera.” 
For more than 55 years, she was a daily communicant at St. Ann’s Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She loved to sing, knit, and crochet. Most of all, she cherished spending time with family and friends. 
Wife of the late Robert J. Leonard, she was the loving mother of Robert J. Leonard II and his wife, Anne, of Middleborough; Kevin P. Leonard and his wife, Elizabeth, of Weymouth; Dennis P. Leonard and his wife, Maureen, of Whitman; Timothy W. Leonard and his wife, AnnMarie, of Braintree; Colleen T. Larsen and her husband, Mike, of Hull; Ita M. Leonard of Hull; Patrice A. Kenney and her husband, Thomas, of Hull; Colin P. Leonard and his wife, Patricia, of Whitman; and the late Terence M. Leonard. 
She was the sister of the late John Power and the cherished Nana of 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leonard also is survived by many dear friends. 
Her funeral Mass was scheduled for this morning (Thursday) at St. Ann’s Church, with burial to follow, at Hull Village Cemetery.
