Obituary: Christina Temple

Christina Temple, at 81
Christina (Brietenberger) Temple, 81, died peacefully at the Fitchburg Gardens on the morning of Feb. 5.
Mrs. Temple was born in Germany. She worked as a chef at Anastos Corner Café in Hull for 50 years, retiring at age 74. Her customers were like family, and she loved seeing smiles on their faces. Cooking was her passion, but when she was not at the restaurant, you could find her working in her garden, planting vegetables and the delicate flowers she loved.
Mrs. Temple was a dog lover, but she also loved animals of all kinds. She was selfless and always put animals before herself. She was a very strong woman who loved her family, friends, and life itself.
She leaves a daughter, Joannie Myers, and her fiancé, Kevin Kessinger, of Rockland; a brother, Arnold Brietenberger, of Germany; and her grandchildren, Andrew Thomas, and his wife, Leah, and Angela Keene, all of Fitchburg; and Ryan Thomas, of Rockland.
Funeral services have been held. Mrs. Temple was laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, George Temple, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MSPCA, Attn: Donations, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Online condolences may be made at www.keohane.com.
