Obituary: Marilyn Lee

Marilyn Lee, at 79
Beautiful and loving mother, sister, and grandmother Marilyn Lee (Mee Lun Chin Lee), of Hull, passed away peacefully on March 5 at age 79.
Mrs. Lee, a longtime resident of Hull, was a restaurateur with her parents, Albert and Ting Sin Chin; her late husband, Benny Lee; and her older sister, Mabel Lee, and Mabel’s late husband, John Ming Lee. They all worked at the family-owned Sar Ho Village, a Chinese food restaurant located at the corner of Nantasket Avenue and K Street.  
Shortly before Sar Ho closed, Marilyn and Benny Lee became the owners of Al’s Spaghetti House, which they operated for 12 years. Later, the couple each worked at the famous cymbal manufacturer, Zildjian, before retiring in 2011.
Mrs. Lee loved gardening. She especially loved red and yellow roses, peonies, and tulips. 
She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Cooper; sons Henry Lee and Larry Lee; son-in-law Thomas Cooper; two grandsons, Matthew and Alex Cooper; a sister, Mee Har Chin (Mabel Lee); and three nephews, Philip, Kenny, and Joseph Lee.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 22, from 5-8 p.m., at Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock St., Quincy. Her funeral will be held at Deware from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday. Procession to Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree will follow.
