Obituary: Kevin P. Healey

Kevin P. Healey, at 67
Kevin P. Healey, 67, of Hingham, previously of Hull and Dorchester, died Jan. 30.
Born in Presque Isle, Maine, he spent his younger years in various places while his father was an Air Force tech. Mr. Healey was a 1969 graduate of Sgt. Xaverian Missionary Fathers Seminary and a 1980 graduate of UMass Boston and served as a Benedictine monk at Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham from 1972 to 1986.
In the early 1990s, Mr. Healey moved to Boston to pursue a career in computer software training and customer service. He retired at the age of 65.
Longtime director of the Glastonbury Abbey choir, he also was a member of the Braintree Choral Society and a former member of Gays for Patsy, a country-western dance group. He enjoyed attending and supporting the Boston Baroque Orchestra.
Son of Kevin Healey of Little Compton, R.I., and the late Madeline (Powers) Healey, he was the brother of Michael Healey and his wife, Marilyn, of Mansfield; Collene Saunders, of Hull; Terri Leimback and her husband, Richard, of California; and Rhonda Healey and her companion, Joe DiVito, of Hull. Mr. Healey also was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
