Henry E. Riley, Jr., 90 and Ruth S. Riley, 94

Henry Edwin “Hank” Riley, Jr. and Ruth Sieswerda Riley were honored in a joint funeral service, on June 21, 2022 at Arlington National Cemetery.

Mr. Riley was born on May 3, 1929 and died on Dec. 16, 2019. Mrs. Riley was born on April 21, 1927 and died on Dec. 16, 2021.

Hank and Ruth were born in Malden, and each had enthusiasm for life, a strong ethic for serving the community, and love of friends and laughter. They are mourned by loving and devoted friends and family members and church family – while in Massachusetts, they attended First Baptist of Hingham.

Mr. and Mrs. Riley were predeceased by a son, John Loren Riley, in 2007. Mrs. Riley was predeceased by her older brothers, John K. Sieswerda and David L. Sieswerda, and is survived by her younger brother, Paul L. Sieswerda. Mr. Riley was predeceased by his sister, Alice L. Chirichetti.

The Rileys’ surviving children are Henry (Mary Ellen) and grandchildren Margaret and Madalyn; Kathleen Beckwith (George Fisher) and grandchildren Matthew Beckwith, Daniel Klaas Beckwith, Cheryl Beckwith, and Edward (Ashley) Beckwith, and great-grandchildren Henry and Charles
