Dennis Blackall, at 72

Loving husband, father, and grandfather Dennis Richard Blackall, 72, of Weymouth died on October 15, 2026 due to complications of Alzheimer’s.

Dennis was born on February 17, 1954 to James R. Blackall and Irma Blackall. Raised in Somerville, he graduated from Babson College and enjoyed a career in management and information technology. He worked as senior VP of IT at Phillips Van Heusen. Beginning in 2008, Dennis served a three-year term as selectman in the Town of Hull. Dennis always had a passion to both learn and teach, his favorite topics being history, science, math, and music. He loved to collect physical media, including dated postcards, music, and books.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Kim (Noddin) Blackall, children Ja’neane Blackall, Melissa Blackall (husband Alex Shopov), Sean Blackall, Evan Blackall (wife Alexandria Blackall) and Danielle Blackall; grandchildren Cameron, Collin, Isaac, Guinevere, Grayson, and Carter James; and sister Dianne Wells.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend the wake on Friday, October 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham.
