Eleanor Duran, at 78

Eleanor (Walsh) Duran passed away on July 25, 2026. Loving wife of the late Daniel J. Duran. She was “Ma” to her children, the late Gretchen Mullaney, Dennis P. Duran of Stoughton, Denise S. Flagg and her husband, Stephen, of Woburn, Daniel J. Duran Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Hull, and Andrew M. Duran and his wife, Michelle, of Weymouth.

She was a devoted “Mammie” to her grandchildren: Amber, Ethan, Hannah, Colby, Devon, Sarah, Aidan, Fynn, Meghan, Eliana, and Ryan, as well as her great-granddaughters Ruby and Lucie.

Eleanor was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Walsh of Roslindale, formerly of Tubbercurry, Ireland. She is survived by her siblings Kevin Walsh, Claire Kenny, and Joan Konefal. She was predeceased by her siblings Pauline, Herbert, and Jerome Walsh and Mary Gorman.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at St. Ann’s Church, 208 Samoset Avenue on August 4 at 10 a.m. to share memories of Ellie with her kids and grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in the church at 11 a.m.
