Obituary: Stephen Boretti

Stephen M. Boretti, at 58

Stephen M. Boretti, a lifelong resident of Hull, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58.

Beloved son of the late Peter J. Boretti and Barbara J. (Lyons) Boretti, both of Hull. Cherished father of Michelle L. Boretti of Scituate. Loving brother of Peter J. Boretti, brother-in-law of Sheri (Hershman) Boretti, and brother of Lisa A. Boretti, all of Hull. Mr. Boretti also leaves his niece and nephew, whom he cared so much about, Samantha E. Boretti of Hull and Nicholas P. Boretti and his wife, Allison, of Hanson. Mr. Boretti leaves behind many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Boretti graduated from Hull High in 1985. He was a tri-sport athlete – excelling in football, hockey, and baseball. He was one of the most skilled players in each sport and will always be remembered for it. He continued to play each sport after high school, making his daughter show up to the “old man hockey league” and keep score for “Steve’s Place” for “old-man softball.” If he wasn’t playing hockey or baseball, you’d probably find him out fishing, his favorite hobby.

Mr. Boretti was an incredibly skilled carpenter. He worked for a variety of companies throughout the years, most recently Hub Construction. He made a lot of friends due to his talent and was known to be the guy who would take his shirt off his back for anyone.

The only way to properly celebrate Stephen is to throw him the party he’s always wanted. All the stories, memories, are just what his family and friends want to hear. He left a permanent mark on everyone he’s ever encountered. Please join us on Thursday July 24, from 3-8 p.m. at the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club to praise Stephen for all of his impact on our lives and to show him how much we love him.
