Obituary: Richard Petrilli

Richard Petrilli, at 75

Richard “Richie” Petrilli, 75, of Hull, died peacefully at home on July 27.

He was a graduate of Quincy High School, class of 1969.  He worked as a master plumber for E.H. Marchant Plumbing, as well as a plumber for Mass. General out of Local 12, Boston.
Mr. Petrilli was a boating enthusiast his whole life, and was a member of the Braintree Yacht Club. He and his wife Patsy could be seen all summer boating on his 36-foot Uniflight named the Mary E. He also loved his 1969 GTO and attended car shows whenever he could.

During the winter months, the Petrillis spent their time at their condo in St. Petersburg, Florida. They loved traveling up the coast to Daytona to see the races there. His easygoing way and sense of humor made Mr. Petrilli friends wherever he went.

During his down time, he loved his bowl of ice cream while watching old TV shows such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Three Stooges.
Mr. Petrilli is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia “Patsy” (Moriarty) Petrilli. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Pitts) Petrilli. Brother of Barbara Rae, his twin sister Roberta (Tom) Golden, and the late Dorothy Lavender and Larry and James Petrilli. He was godfather to Marlene Carvello and Jay Petrilli, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
