Mary E. Gibbons, at 80

Mary E. Gibbons (Adduci), age 80, of Hull, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, surrounded by family, after a long illness.

Born on May 24, 1945, in Boston to Saverio J. Adduci and Mary R. Adduci, Mary was known for her strength and her unwavering love for her home and family. She graduated from Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School and spent her life caring for others.

Mary was a devoted mother whose greatest pride was her children and grandchildren. She loved her summers spent in Hull and was proud to be able to raise her children near the ocean. She will be remembered for her holiday gatherings, love of sweets, cardigans, spending time in her yard, and making endless grocery lists for her children.

She is survived by her six children: Kristine Bingham (David), Kevin Gibbons (Erin), Colleen Gibbons, Erin Ritchie, Jennifer Concannon (Mark), and Stephen Gibbons; her nine grandchildren: Kaitlin and Kelsey Shipps, Declan, Maeve, and Braeden Ritchie, Cali and Ayla Gibbons, and Evelyn and Macklin Concannon; and her siblings James and Stephen Adduci (Suzanne). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward T. Gibbons, her parents, and brother Peter Adduci.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 20, between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish/St. Ann’s Church, 208 Samoset Ave. Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
