Obituary: Kenneth J. Goodman
/Kenneth J. Goodman, at 66
Dr. Kenneth James Goodman, 66, of Hull, died unexpectedly Feb. 14.
He moved to town at age 9 with his sister and parents and considered Hull his home, even though he was OFD (originally from Dorchester).
He graduated from Hull High School in the Class of ’77, and graduated from Suffolk University, concentrating his studies on pre-med, before attending Palmer Chiropractic School in Iowa and graduating with honors.
Dr. Goodman was a dedicated and compassionate chiropractor who spent his career helping others live healthier, pain-free lives. Throughout his years of practice, he touched countless patients with his steady hands, thoughtful care, and genuine concern for their well-being.
Beyond his profession, he will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, uncle, partner, cousin, and friend whose love and guidance shaped the lives of those around him. He found joy in jewelry design, thrift store bargains, enjoying a good meal, Chinese food, offering medical advice to friends, everything Egyptian, and spending time with his pets and loved ones.
Known for his warmth, integrity, and sense of humor, Dr. Goodman built lasting relationships with patients and colleagues alike. In retirement, he returned to his beloved town of Hull and remained committed to wellness and continued to share his knowledge and encouragement with family and friends.
Predeceased by his beloved parents, Saul and Sookie (Shaffer) Goodman, he leaves his sister, Sheila Goodman Cohen (Jeff), nephew Brett (Georgia), niece Jennifer (Tyler), and long-term partner Bruce Ryerson, along with many cousins and friends.
Dr. Goodman’s sudden passing leaves a deep void, but his kindness, dedication, sense of humor, joie de vivre, and the healing he brought to so many will never be forgotten.
