Obituary: Mary Ann Tripoli Mitchell

Mary Ann Tripoli Mitchell, at 85

On August 15, 2026, at the age of 85, Mary Ann Tripoli Mitchell passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in West Palm Beach, Florida. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Patrice. She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert, daughter Noelle (Dominic), son Timothy, and grandchildren Grace, Sean, and Jack, and her sisters Rose, Dawn, and Johanna.

Born on March 9, 1941, Mary Ann grew up in Yonkers, New York. After graduating from Yonkers High School, she worked as a waitress and administrative assistant. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her, which she expressed with her cooking. Her home-cooked meals were adored by all; she truly enjoyed feeding anyone she could. Her happy spirit shone brightly in everything she did, as did her love and devotion for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Those who knew her will remember her smiling face and optimistic personality. She spent her spare time zipping away on her sewing machine or fluttering around the kitchen working up a masterpiece to share. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, August 21, from 4-8 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, prior to the funeral Mass in the Church of the Resurrection, Hingham, at 10 a.m. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery.
